What this site uses
The supplied site code does not set HTTP cookies and contains no advertising, behavioural analytics or third-party embedded media. It can use localStorage to remember the preference you choose below. Local storage is a browser storage mechanism, not a cookie: its contents are not automatically attached to network requests.
The pages, navigation and editorial content remain available if browser storage is blocked. These controls apply to this site's local preference. They do not change storage used by another website, your email app or browser extensions.
The saved preference
The key is reading-cookie-preference. Choosing Accept stores accepted; choosing Essential Only stores essential. No unique visitor identifier is created by this feature, and the supplied script does not transmit the value.
The preference has no automatic expiry. It remains in this browser profile until you remove it, clear site data or the browser removes stored data. Private browsing and storage restrictions may prevent persistence. A choice made here does not necessarily carry to another device or browser.
Preference controls
There are currently no optional cookies to enable. Both choices leave the reading experience available. Accept does not activate tracking, and it is not blanket permission for any future tracking feature.

The contact letter tool uses temporary browser memory. It does not save letters in localStorage. Copying places text on your clipboard, and downloading creates a file on your device. Those are separate actions under your control, not tracking cookies.

You can remove the saved choice using the control above or clear this site's data in your browser's privacy settings. Clearing data may also remove settings added by your browser or hosting environment. Blocking all storage can affect other sites, so consult your browser's current help for site-specific controls.
Infrastructure and changes
Hosting and security services may have their own technical behaviour. The supplied static code does not establish what an independently configured hosting layer stores. If optional analytics, embeds or cookies are introduced, the relevant disclosures and consent arrangements must be reviewed before they are enabled.
